Spring Break Holiday

Spring break has become an American tradition. College students, as well as some high school students, travel to warm weather sites to celebrate the
spring holiday given them by the schools and colleges they attend.

Spring break holidays typically fall immediately after final exams are over. Spring break begins at different schools at different times. The earliest beginning date can be somewhere around mid-February, and the latest ending dates are somewhere near the end of March. Most students who take spring break trips go to tropical locations like Florida, Mexico or the Caribbean, but not all. Some students like to take their spring break trips to skiing locations to get in one last skiing holiday before really warm weather sets in.

Cancun, Mexico, is far and away the most popular spring break destination, but the beaches in Florida (Panama City, Miami, South Beach) and Padre Island in Texas are becoming more popular every year — probably because they are easier to get to, and because the spring break vacation costs less.

The Bahamas and Jamaica are also popular spring break vacation destinations. The balmy, beautiful, white-sand beaches of the Caribbean are certainly enticing! Prices are generally a little lower, but they do seem to rise dramatically during the spring break period. Puerto Vllarta, Mazatlan, and Acapulco are also desirable destinations for spring breakers going to Mexico. Money does go a little further in Mexico. Some locations are preferable to others, however, and the prices do reflect the desirability.

For those with deeper pockets, Europe might be a consideration! Just think: London, Paris, Florence, Madrid, Berlin, and Frankfurt! Now that would really be something to write home about. If skiing is your bag, consider a spring break holiday to Colorado, Jackson Hole, Heavenly, Canada's wild Whistler, or any one of dozens of other locations.
